MHHA Boo Bash – to benefit Teens with Dysautonomia!

Posted: August 29, 2012 in Uncategorized

I am writing to you to ask for your consideration in making a donation towards our upcoming “Boo Bash” on October 20, 2012 in Katy, Tx that will benefit the charity my daughter, Mikaela Aschoff, founded to help other hospitalized and homebound teens, like herself, who suffer from an illness that can be very unpredictable and debilitating called Dysautonomia.  We serve both local and national Dysautonomia teens.

Donations needed: We are seeking sponsorship, monetary donations or in-kind donations. In-kind donations can include gift certificates/cards, themed gift baskets, travel destinations and more to be used in our Boo Bash silent and live auctions. (Please see below for more details)

Money raised from this event will go directly to “Hope Kits” (teen focused gifts in our Hope Kit box pictured left) to help bring joy to these teens who many feel very isolated from life and friends.

This event also acts as a catalyst to help bring more community awareness about this little known, yet under-diagnosed condition.

Thank you for your consideration!

    Any suggestions for stomach pain?

    • Talk to a GI doctor knowledgeable about Dysautonomia. In my case, Elavil has helped calm down much of my stomach pain issues. (Though check with your dr to discuss your case.). Also, small frequent easy to digest meals help. (Broth, soup when it gets really bad.). And laying down with feet propped up to help blood flow in the intestines helps too. Most importantly, find a GI willing to help and understand Dysautonomia issues. Take care!
